Draft Mariners' Mile Revitalization Master Plan

The Mariners' Mile Revitalization Master Plan is intended to identify potential refinements or barriers to revitalizing the area. This process has incorporated public engagement through a series of workshops and evaluated existing policies and regulations, reviewed existing standards, opportunities for incentives, parking management, urban form, visual simulations, pedestrian & bike connections, and street design.
The City of Newport Beach has completed the draft Mariners’ Mile Revitalization Master Plan, which is available for public review and comment beginning April 11, 2017. Copies of the document will be available for review in the Community Development Department, 100 Civic Center Drive, Bay B, Newport Beach, CA 92660 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The document can also be accessed online on the project webpage.
The Planning Commission will conduct a study session regarding the draft Mariners’ Mile Revitalization Master Plan on April 20, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. The Planning Commission and members of the public will be invited to comment on the draft plan. This study session will be informational only and no decisions will be made at this meeting. The purpose of the study session is to provide the Planning Commission and the public the opportunity to review and discuss the proposed project in advance of public hearings. Formal Planning Commission and City Council public hearings are tentatively scheduled to begin in May 2017.
