For residents, they offer easy and effective prevention tips related to lawn and garden care, car washing, home improvement and other everyday activities where small steps can make a big difference. For businesses, they provide practical pollution prevention guidelines for maintenance and cleaning activities, waste management and proper storage or disposal of waste to ensure proper handling.

Coastkeeper CopperNewport Bay Copper Reduction Project

When teachers foster an environmental ethic in the next generation the less likely they will be to engage in pollution-causing behaviors as adults. Teachers. use this link to find out more about specific programs.

The 18th annual Childrens Water Education Festival was held at UC Irvine and aimed to educated kids about their water footprint. The City of Newport Beach was a Signature Sponsor, educating children on the watershed and how we impact the water quality of the ocean.  Hurley H2O partnered with the Ecology Center and their "Water Shed". Evan Marks spent two days educating kids on the shed, where Southern California water comes from, and how simple changes can make a difference.
