The Newport Beach City Arts Commission Presents the

The 51st Annual NEWPORT BEACH ART EXHIBITION

Saturday, June 13, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.  -  Newport Beach Civic Center

The Newport Beach City Arts Commission would like to thank the 135 artists who participated in the 2014 Newport Beach Art Exhibition.  We sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to another successful event in 2015.  

2015 Call for Entries

The 2015 Newport Beach Art Exhibition will be held on Saturday, June 13. This one-day juried exhibition gives art lovers the opportunity to view and purchase original paintings, photography and sculpture created by hundreds of regional artists.  If you would like to participate in the 2015 Newport Beach Art Exhibition, please fill out the online registration form and submit registration fees online ($30 for one work, $40 for two). Registration requires a photo of each work of art entered, title and dimensions.

Exhibition Location and Hours

 

  • Newport Beach Civic Center Community Room, 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach
  • Exhibition Hours: 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Artist must deliver artwork and check-in either Friday, June 12 from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. or Saturday, June 13 from 9:00 a.m - 10:30 a.m.
  • Artist are responsible for picking up their artwork promptly at 6 p.m. closing. No early pickup.

Entry Eligibility

    • The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older.
    • Entry Fees: $30 per artist for one entry; $40 per artist for two entries
    • Exhibition is limited to two works of art per artist. Registration is required and will be limited as space permits.
    • Original artwork only! Please do not submit works done in school, under instructor supervision
      or copied from published photos.
    • Works must have been created within the last two years.
    • Two-dimensional artwork size limit: 36” wide x 48” high, includes frame.
    • Artist must provide table-top easel to display two-dimensional artwork up to 24” x 24”.
    • A standup easel will be provided for artwork with any dimension larger than 24”.
    • Three-dimensional size limit: Only works 30 lbs.or less will be accepted. Artist must provide pedestal for three-dimensional artwork.
    • Work must be for sale. A 30% donation to the Newport Beach Arts Foundation will be accepted on all sales.

     Awards

    The Newport Beach Art Exhibition will be juried by renowned artist James Strombotne.  Awards will be announced by Mayor Edward Selich and members of the Arts Commission at a reception in the Civic Center Community Room at 4:30 p.m. on June 13. 

    • Painting/MM: 1st $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $100
    • Photography: 1st $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $100
    • Sculpture: 1st $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $100
    • Judge’s Choice: $100
    • People’s Choice: $100
