Beach Maintenance is responsible for cleaning nine miles of ocean and bay beach, adjacent shorelines and the boardwalks. Staff cleans and maintains fire rings located on both sides of Balboa Pier and at Corona del Mar State Beach. Organizations that would like to participate in the City's Adopt-A-Beach program are encouraged to contact the Beach Maintenance Supervisor for more information.
Property owners with beach-front property may request assistance to remove windblown sand that has accumulated along walls bordering their property. A Sand Waiver Form must be completed prior to any work being done.
