The Public Information Office is responsible for the timely dissemination of information about the City of Newport Beach to the news media and community. The division oversees media relations, community outreach, and communication activities for the departments within Newport Beach City Hall and works closely with the public information officers in the City’s Police, Fire and Library Departments.

The Public Information Office also manages operations and oversees all programming for NBTV, the City’s government access cable TV channel (shown on Time-Warner 3 and Cox 30 & 852). NBTV produces 11 original programs, airs City Council and special meetings, and contains a community bulletin board. Orange County Sanitation District Construction on Coast Highway - It's Almost Done
Despite several setbacks, OCSD and its contractor are determined to have phase one of the Coast Highway construction project completed on schedule.
Bay Avenue Street Closures April 20 - May 3
Bay Avenue from 7th - 8th Street, Medina Way to Coronado Street and Cypress to Palm Street will be closed for pavement reconstruction. One lane will reopen to traffic after 5PM each day.
2015 City Scholarship Program
Eligible graduating high school students and students who are transferring from a community college can apply for the City's 2015 Scholarship Program for one of seven scholarship awards. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30.
Sculpture in Civic Center Park Exhibition-Round II
A call for entries for completed, pre-existing artworks for installation in the Sculpture in Civic Center Park Exhibition is open until May 6. Interested parties are encouraged to apply.
