Chef Deborah Schneider of Sol Cocina restaurant in Newport Beach will share some of her secrets for creating authentic Baja cuisine at What’s Cooking at the Library on Tuesday, March 15 at 7 p.m. at the Newport Beach Central Library.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Chef Schneider, enjoy a talk and demonstration and taste some favorites from her most recent cookbook, “Amor y Tacos.” The menu for the evening includes SOL House Margaritas, Pico de Gallo, Naked Guacamole, Avocado Caesar Salad, Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas, Salsa Ahogada and Warm Chocolate-Banana Bread Pudding with Cinnamon Crème Anglaise.
Schneider's book, which puts an exciting spin on modern Mexican food and cocktails and features many recipes from SOL Mexican Cocina, will be available for purchase and signing.
What’s Cooking at the Library will begin at 7 p.m. in the Friends Room at the Newport Beach Central Library, 1000 Avocado Avenue, Newport Beach. A fee of $20 per person, per event will be charged to cover the cost of food. Space is limited and reservations are required.
