To all Newport Beach CERT volunteers,
The first major "Drill the Skills" for 2012 is scheduled for Saturday, March 24th from 9:00 am-1:30 pm at Santa Ana Heights Fire Station #7. This is a great opportunity to refresh your skills, get a new updated ID badge and to welcome the new spring CERT graduates. The information on the "Drill the Skills" is listed below. We are also still looking for CERT volunteers to assist with the "Drill the Skills" set-up on Friday, March 23rd. Please e-mail nbcert@nbfd.net if you would like to particpate in the drill or volunteer to assist with drill set-up.

All participants must bring their CERT helmet, vest, ID badge, gloves and goggles. If you would like to participate in the “Drill the Skills” you must register to do so. To register, e-mail nbcert@nbfd.net .

CERT volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, logistics and clean-up for the “Drill the Skills” on Friday, March 23rd from 12:30-4:00 pm and Saturday, March 24th from 7:30 am-2:30 pm If you would like to volunteer to assist, please specify what date and e-mail nbcert@nbfd.net .
Disaster Preparedness Presentations
The Newport Beach Fire Department offers disaster preparedness presentations for home owners associations, civic groups, schools and businesses. The presentations range from 15 minutes to 3 hours and are tailored to meet your group’s needs. CERT Volunteer Hours
One of the 2012 goals of the Newport Beach CERT program is to actively track all CERT volunteer hours in 2012. All CERT volunteers are encouraged to enter their volunteer hours for community events, CERT classes and advanced trainings.
