Caltrans Work on E. Coast Hwy
Posted Date: 4/19/2012

The City has been notified that the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin work on a two-mile stretch of Pacific Coast Highway from School-State Park to Newport Coast Drive.

Work will begin during the last week of April and is expected to continue through Memorial Day weekend. The project will consist of grinding the existing roadway, resurfacing with an rubberized asphalt overlay, and new striping. Caltrans' contractor is All American Asphalt. The work is being done to preserve and extend the pavement life.

Work will be performed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Caltrans will provide any necessary updates to this schedule in advance.

For more information on this project, please contact the Caltrans District 12 Public Information Office at (949) 724-2000 or log on to the Caltrans website at www.dot.ca.gov/dist12.
