City Arts Commission Hosts Excursion to The Getty Center

Newport Beach, CA (August 24, 2010) -- The Newport Beach Arts Commission will be hosting  a motor coach excursion from the Newport Beach Public Library to The Getty Center on Thursday, October 7, 2010.

Art lovers will be able to view the current exhibitions at the J. Paul Getty Museum including Engaged Observers: Documentary Photography since the Sixties; From Line to Light: Renaissance Drawing in Florence and Venice; and Illuminated Manuscripts from Belgium and the Netherlands.  There will also be an opportunity for some of the participants to take an architectural tour of The Getty Center.

Space will be limited and pre-registration is required for this event. Tickets for the event are $50 per person or $45 for Newport Beach Foundation members and "Early Bird" registrants (prior to September 10). 

The motor coach will leave from the Central Library parking lot, 1000 Avocado Avenue, Newport Beach, at 9:15 a.m. on October 7 and return at approximately 4 p.m.
