Chef Diane Weber Presents “Edible Culinary Design” at What’s Cooking Event
Newport Beach, CA (August 4, 2010) – The Newport Beach Public Library presents Chef Diane Weber with “Edible Culinary Design” at the What’s Cooking at the Library event on Tuesday, August 17 at 7 p.m. in the Central Library Friends Room, 1000 Avocado Avenue, Newport Beach
Know as the “Culinary Gardener,” Chef Diane Weber brings a unique perspective to cooking as someone who exposes the pleasures of “growing it yourself” and then cooking and decorating with the harvest. Weber will share her culinary secrets as chef and horticulturist. Attendees can expect lots of good, informative information on cooking with herbs and fresh produce, along with a delicious sampling of her work.
Attendees at this event will also have the opportunity to participate in Priority Registration for the October What’s Cooking at the Library with Chef Dave Martin from Bravo TV’s Top Chef Season One.
These events will be held in the Friends Room at the Newport Beach Central Library. Space is limited and reservations are required. A fee of $20 will be charged to cover the cost of food. More about the Chef
Chef Diane Weber began her career as a Pastry Chef by winning a full scholarship to the renowned Ecole Lenotre in Plaisir, France. She has served as Executive Pastry Chef in such prestigious establishments as Four Seasons Hotel, Beverly Hills, The Riviera Country Club of Los Angeles, The California Club, The Ritz Restaurant of Newport Beach, Big Canyon Country Club, Mr. Stox Restaurant, and Five Crowns Restaurant. Chef, Writer, Professor of Culinary Arts, Keynote Speaker, and Horticulturist, Chef Diane Weber is currently on the staff at the Art Institute of Orange County where she implemented a showcase culinary garden and teaches The Art of Pastry. She has been featured in Emily Tolley’s “Cooking with Herbs”, Rosaline Creasy’s “Edible Landscaping” as well as Gourmet magazine.
