Reference Services

	Phone Us (949) 717-3860 - For quick questions, call us at Telephone Reference. We take calls Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 9 pm; and Friday and Saturday 9 am to 6 pm.  Telephone reference service is not offered on Sundays.
	E-mail Us Send a question via our e-mail reference form. We will make every effort to respond to your question within two working days. If we cannot quickly answer your question we will let you know.
	Request a title for purchase To make a request for the library to purchase a specific title, please use our online request form.

Reference Librarians will provide brief, factual answers to your reference questions, or suggestions for resources which might help you find what you need.  Please provide as much detail as possible.  It is helpful to know the purpose of your request and any other pertinent details.

Computer Training

Newport Beach Public Library offers individual training on library resources through our One-on-One public training service.  The goal of this service is to provide enough instruction so that customers can feel comfortable using library equipment and resources independently with appropriate support from staff.  This service is provided at the Central and Mariners libraries. 

To schedule a session, ask at the Central Library or Mariner’s Branch Reference Desk, or call the Central Library at (949) 717-3860 or Mariners at (949) 717-3838.  You may also request a One-on-One training session by completing our online form.

Staff-Assisted Copying and Scanning

Copy Services staff will accept photocopy copy requests from on-site users through Copy Services at the Central Library. Copies can be printed or can be saved to USB drives or CDROMs. Only cash payments are accepted, and mailing services are available.

CD-ROM	.25¢ per page plus $1.00 for the disc.
Flash drive	.25¢ per page plus $10.00 for the drive
