The California Coastal Commission will be considering the Newport Banning Ranch project on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. The meeting will be held in the Seaside Ballroom at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center located at 300 East Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90802. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. The Coastal Commission staff report is available here.(Large File). PA2008-114 - Newport Banning Ranch, LLC, submitted an application for a coastal development permit to the California Coastal Commission on February 1, 2013, which is the next step in the entitlement process. The application was deemed complete on April 29, 2015 by the Coastal Commission staff, and is scheduled for a Coastal Commission public hearing on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
The proposed project includes a maximum of 1,375 dwelling units, 75,000 square feet of commercial retail, 75-room boutique hotel, "bed and breakfast", or other overnight accommodations, parks and open space.
