Reflections from Dave Kiff


Dave Kiff became City Manager of Newport Beach in September 2009. He is responsible for the city government’s operation and policy implementation, directs 10 departments and 725 fulltime employees, and manages an annual budget of approximately $260 million. Dave joined the City of Newport Beach staff in 1998 as the Assistant to the City Manager and gradually promoted to Deputy City Manager and then Assistant City Manager before being selected by the City Council to fill the organization’s top administrative spot. He will be retiring later this year.
