DESCRIPTION:<p>The Newport Beach Public Library, in cooperation with A Whale of a Tale Children's Bookshoppe in Irvine, will host an author visit by John Flanagan, author of the popular Ranger's Apprentice adventure series. </p><p>Fans of the popular Ranger’s Apprentice series will have the rare opportunity to meet the Australian author and hear him talk about his tenth book in the continuing Ranger’s Apprentice saga “The Emperor of Nihon-Ja.” Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase books and have them signed. Due to time limitations, Mr. Flanagan will only be able to sign books purchased at the presentation. </p><p>With over two million copies sold, the Ranger’s Apprentice has become a regular on the New York Times Bestseller List and has been shortlisted in children's book awards in Australia and overseas. </p><p>Admission to the event is free. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis; no reserved seating.
