Purpose
The Environmental Quality Affairs Committee:
A. Advise the City Council on policies, programs and projects that improve or detract from the environmental quality of the City, as requested by the City Council;
B. Comment on Notices of Preparation, as requested by the City Council; and
C. Advise on any matter referred to the Environmental Quality Affairs Committee by the City Council or City Manager.

Progress Report
The City Council requested that EQAC prepare a proposed list of objectives that would improve the City's environmental quality. The Committee met on June 26, 2014, to discuss the form these objectives would take. The Committee is scheduled to meet again on August 28, 2014, to continue this discussion.

Length of Term for Members
The seven members appointed by the City Council shall serve a four-year term, with a limit of two consecutive terms. Council Member appointees shall serve a one-year term.
