Tuesday Night Topics Lecture Series for 2019

Tuesday, January 15, 6pm - In Our Eyes, In Our Words, A Look at Orange County's Homeless Through Portraits

Presented by Jeff Horn, Emeritus Professor Irvine Valley College.  A look at a selection of charcoal portraits of Orange County's homeless including some of their handwritten statements from Jeff's book, In Our Eyes, In Our Words.

Tuesday, February 5, 6pm - A History of Voyaging Under Sail - 3,500 BC to 2018

Presented by David A. Grant, President Emeritus Orange Coast College. A brief overview of the history of sailing through the stories of the civilizations and people, not just the boats.

Tuesday, March 12, 6pm - The Impact of Tourism on Africa's Wildlife and People

Presented by Jim Holden, Holden Safaris. How is tourism affecting Africa's wildlife and communities? Come to this presentation to find out.

Tuesday, March 19, 6pm - A Night Out with Nature

Presented by The Environmental Nature Center. A brief overview of the history of the ENC including how its building came to be in Newport, along with a discussion on local wildlife.
