SUBJECT:     Report of actions taken by Planning Department Staff for the week ending January 25, 2008

 

Item 1:             Pattison Sign Group on behalf of property owner Ron Presta – Comprehensive Sign Program No. CS2007-012 (PA2007-231)

1540 Jamboree Road

 

The Zoning Administrator approved the Comprehensive Sign Program application for an existing commercial building in accordance with the provisions of Section 20.67.030 (Sign Code) of the Newport Beach Municipal Code. The building is occupied by multiple automobile dealerships (Land Rover/Jaguar) and the sign program is for wall signs and monument signs for project identification from Jamboree Road. Chapter 20.67 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code, specifically Section 20.67.030(I), provides that the Zoning Administrator may review and approve comprehensive sign programs for multi-tenant commercial buildings. The property is located in PC-20 (Land Rover) District.

APPEAL: The decision of the Planning Director and Zoning Administrator may be appealed to the Planning Commission within 14 days of the action date. A $600.00 filing fee shall accompany any appeal filed. No building permits may be issued until the appeal period has expired.
