Power up your devices—this theatre classic is getting an immersive, cinematic twist your family will love! The City Arts Commission presents a free showing of South Coast Repertory’s virtual production of Red Riding Hood. Red still journeys through the woods to Grand-Mama’s house and the Wolf still has devious dinner plans. But this Red is brave and strong, with plenty of clever tricks up her sleeve.  And when two actors take on all the roles in this new digital format, anything can happen!  Who could be better at bringing this fast and funny tale into your home than stage and TV director Shannon Flynn, an Emmy Award winner for Sesame Street?

Registration is FREE, however, there are a limited number of free tickets available until June 11 for this stunning virtual performance. To sign up, please visit the Red Riding Hood Registration Page. For a free virtual ticket, register through the Library only; do not register through South Coast Repertory’s website if you wish to avoid a purchase fee.

You will be sent a link from South Coast Repertory that will allow you to watch the video anytime until June 13, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. Once you start the video you have 24 hours to complete your viewing. Please register for only ONE ticket connected with your email address for the streaming device you will be watching.
