To help make your visit easy and stress-free, we’ve gathered helpful information about parking options, rates, permits, and alternatives throughout the City.

Use our Interactive Parking Map to locate the most convenient parking near your destination, including parking lots, pay stations, and on-street spaces.
The map also identifies blue and silver meter zones for permitted parking.
Parking Options
Paid Parking
Parking is available at City lots and select on-street locations.
- Most areas require payment 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., daily (including weekends & holidays)
- Some locations, such as the Balboa Pier Lot, require payment 24 hours a day
- Corona del Mar is open 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., daily
- Payment options include pay stations and mobile apps

Pay by Cell (Mobile Payment)
Pay for parking using your smartphone with one of the following apps:
- ParkMobile
- PayByPhone
- HotSpot
- Park Smarter
Mobile apps allow you to:
- Pay remotely
- Receive expiration reminders
- Extend parking time without returning to your vehicle

Parking Permits
The City offers a variety of parking permits for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Parking Citations
- Payment or appeal must be completed within 21 days of issuance
- Late payments are subject to additional fees and may forfeit appeal rights

Accessibility (Disabled Parking)
Vehicles displaying a valid disabled placard may park free at most City-operated parking locations.
Exceptions:
- Corona del Mar State Beach Lot – no discount
- Marina Park – no discount
- Balboa Pier Lot – 50% discount
Electric Vehicle Charging
Public EV charging stations are available throughout the City on a first-come, first-served basis.
Locations include:
- Civic Center (100 Civic Center Dr)
- Marina Park (1600 W. Balboa Blvd) – paid parking is required when charging.
- OASIS Senior Center (801 Narcissus Ave)
- Newport Coast Community Center (6401 San Joaquin Hills Rd)
- Mix of Level 2 and DC Fast Chargers
- Average cost: $1.85–$2.10 per session
- Accessible via EVgo and ChargePoint networks

Alternative Transportation
Balboa Peninsula Trolley
- Free seasonal service (summer weekends & holidays)
- Operates 10:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- 22 stops along the Peninsula
- Accommodates bikes, surfboards, and beach gear
Free parking available at:
- Avon Street Lot (near Avon St & Tustin Ave)
Parking Operations & Assistance
Laz Parking California, LLC manages and maintains City parking pay stations, including collection, maintenance, repair, and parking enforcement. The contract is overseen by the Revenue Manager in the City’s Finance Department.

Note: A non-operational pay station does not mean parking is free. Please use another nearby station or a mobile payment option.
