Even though we are unable to host the annual Halloween Spooktacular, we still want to see your costumes and decorations! This year we will be accepting photo entries for our Virtual Halloween Costume and Decorations Contest for a chance to win a Halloween gift basket.

To enter:

1. Follow us on Instagram or Facebook @cityofnewportbeach
2. Post a photo of your Halloween decorations or costume
3. Use hashtag #nbhalloweencontest in your post
4. Tag us in your photo

The contest begins October 12. Entries will be accepted and reviewed through Thursday, October 29.

Winners will be notified and announced on Friday, October 30 for the following categories:

1. Best Carved Pumpkin 
2. Best Halloween house decorations
   ▪ Scariest 
   ▪ Most Creative
   ▪ Best Overall
3. Best Costume
   ▪ Group of 2+
   ▪ Most Original
   ▪ Scariest
   ▪ Cutest
   ▪ Silliest 

Your account must be public and all photos must be original photos taken by contest participant. All ages are welcome to participate. Photographers retain the copyright to their work. Photo entries may be reposted and given credit on our Instagram Account and may be used in future editions of the Newport Navigator.
