Public Works

The Public Works Department is structured into several branches and divisions:

Engineering Services provides expertise relating to traffic operations, transportation management, water quality and environmental interest, design and construction management for the City’s capital improvement program.  Additionally, Engineering Services provides technical guidance in the Permit Center to help customers with their work in the public right-of-way.

Municipal Operations provides clean, safe and responsive infrastructure maintenance services to the community of Newport Beach.

Administration provides leadership and strategic planning for the department. Core functions include legal, financial, administrative and records management.
