Councilmember Lauren Kleiman
Councilmember Lauren Kleiman was elected to the City Council in 2022, with a commitment to Public Safety and the goal of preserving the quality of life in Newport Beach.
Councilmember Kleiman is the Vice Chair of the Newport Beach Aviation Committee, the City’s delegate on the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and the District 15 representative for the Orange County Council of Governments (OCCOG).
Councilmember Kleiman has a long history of service to the community, beginning as a member of the Aviation Committee before being appointed to the City’s Planning Commission, where she served for six years.
As a Founding Board Member of the Newport Beach Foundation, Councilmember Kleiman started a Parent Education Series to help families navigate through the difficult issues they are faced with today, and furthered the organization’s mission to ignite the next generation of leadership in the City, through their high school scholarship and Distinguished Citizen programs.
Councilmember Kleiman received her Juris Doctor degree and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine School of Law. She is an attorney and businesswoman who is passionate about giving her time to better the community.
Councilmember Kleiman and her husband, Marc, feel so fortunate to be raising their son in Corona del Mar.
