Council Member Lauren Kleiman was elected to the Newport Beach City Council in 2022.
She joins the City Council with a commitment to Public Safety and the goal of preserving the quality of life in Newport Beach.
She has a long history of connecting with residents and community partners. She spent time on the Newport Beach Aviation Committee before being appointed to the City’s Planning Commission, where she served for six years.
As a Founding Board Member of the Newport Beach Foundation, she started a Parent Education Series to help families navigate through the difficult issues they are faced with today, and furthered the organization’s mission to ignite the next generation of leadership in the City, through their Distinguished Citizen Program.
Her efforts begin in her backyard, as the Vice President of her community homeowner’s association Board of Directors, where she expeditiously overhauled their neighborhood security, communications, and neighbor engagement.
She received her Juris Doctor and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine School of Law. She is an attorney and businesswoman who is passionate about giving her time to better the community.
She and her husband, Marc, feel so fortunate to be raising their son in Corona del Mar.
